Ohio Farmers and Bob Evans Restaurants Give Two Ohioans
Free Breakfast for a Year!
Sweepstakes winners from Columbus, Canton
Two Ohio consumers are the lucky winners of "Free Breakfast for a Year!" courtesy of Ohio's farmers and Columbus, Ohio-based Bob Evans Restaurants, following the 90-day sweepstakes entry period.
The winners, who were drawn at random from nearly 48,800 consumer registrations, are:
Mary Weller, Gahanna, Ohio
Archie Zantopulos, Canton, Ohio
Ohio's farmers will present each of the winners with Bob Evans gift cards for $1,700* in free breakfast (the equivalent of free breakfast for a year for a family of four), which can be redeemed at Bob Evans restaurants.
Ohio farmers and Bob Evans partnered in the sweepstakes to educate consumers about how farmers and restaurants must work hand-in-hand to assure consumers can trust that the food they eat is safe, nutritious and of the highest quality.
Starting in mid-July, residents from across the state visited www.FarmersFeedUS.org to enter for a chance to win. During the registration process, they had chance to meet seven different Ohio farmers representing various agriculture sectors. They also took video tours of each farm and listened as each farmer explained how he or she produces safe, nutritious and affordable food for Ohio consumers.
"The sweepstakes was a great way for us to teach Ohio consumers about the connection between restaurants like Bob Evans and local farmers," said Margaret Standing, Director of Corporate Communications at Bob Evans. "We are always proud to share how the food Bob Evans serves makes its journey from farm to table."
The sweepstakes registration period is now over, but Ohioans can still visit the Ohio Farmers Feed US website, which features information about agriculture in the state. Additionally, consumers can watch farmer videos, learn about how their food is produced, and access resources for learning more.
Groups who participated in Farmers Feed US include Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Ohio Livestock Coalition, Ohio Beef Council, Ohio Pork Producers Council, Ohio Lamb Marketing Board, Ohio Soybean Council, Ohio Poultry Association, American Dairy Association- Mideast and the Ohio Corn Marketing Program.
